1. About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Raymond Naylor, operating Elara, collects, uses, stores and discloses personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
2. What we store
Elara is designed to keep your personal data local to your browser/device wherever possible. Information that may be stored includes: your conversations, journal entries, memories and settings (locally in your browser's storage); a licence/customer record if you make a purchase (email and Stripe customer ID); aggregate, non-identifying visit counts; and basic security/abuse logs.
3. How we use it
We use personal information to: deliver and support Elara; process payments and verify licences; detect, investigate and prevent abuse, fraud or unlawful use; comply with legal obligations; and improve the product.
4. Third parties (processors)
We rely on the following service providers, each governed by their own privacy terms:
- Stripe — payments and subscription management.
- Supabase — secure database and authentication infrastructure.
- Lovable — hosting and AI gateway.
- Underlying AI model providers (e.g. Google, OpenAI, Anthropic) — to fulfil AI requests.
5. Your rights under the APPs
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request correction, request deletion (subject to legal retention obligations), and withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact nexus.systems.au@gmail.com.
6. Safety records & disclosures
We may retain and disclose records (including IP, abuse logs, and message metadata) where reasonably necessary to: investigate suspected breach of our Terms; protect any person from harm; comply with Australian law, a court order, or a request from a regulator such as the Australian Federal Police or the eSafety Commissioner.
7. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, including TLS encryption in transit, row-level security on databases, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure; you use Elara at your own risk.
8. Cookies & local storage
Elara uses cookies,
localStorage and similar browser storage to keep you signed in, remember settings, enable offline features and store your conversations on-device. You can clear these via your browser at any time; doing so may erase locally-stored content permanently.9. International transfers
Our processors may store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. By using Elara you consent to such transfers. Where we engage overseas recipients, we take reasonable steps to ensure they handle personal information consistently with the APPs.
